NHGCC Back to School Luncheon

At the Chamber Back to School Luncheon

The North Houston Greenspoint Chamber held its annual Back to School luncheon last Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Greenspoint.
Awards were made for teacher excellence by Jana Anders, and students from the YMCA Youth of the Aldine Greenspoint YMCA presented the pledge of allegiance. NHGCC chairman Bill Ginder welcomed new chamber members and Circle Members. Back pack and school supplies were presented to the students.
Presentations of their educational institutions were made by Dr. Steven Head, of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District, and Mary Kate Robinson of the Art Institute of Houston.
Dr. Head spoke of the importance of teachers in students lives, and the size and diversity of NHMCCD. He also emphasized the variety of courses and reasonable cost.
Ms. Robinson presented a slide show of the various study areas available at the Art Institute, and said 4 year Bachelors degrees are now available.
