FLAMES AND SMOKE rise from Gallery Furniture’s Warehouse, to the east side of the Showroom, whose cupola can be seen in the distance. Thursday night’s fire destroyed the warehouse and the furnishings contained within, in about 2 hours. The showroom survived, with only a small amount of damage from smoke and water, due to a separation from the warehouse, and the work of the Houston fire department to contain and extinguish the blaze.
