Since 9/11 attacks in 2001, Government and federal agencies became more alert on any suspicious activity.

On September 20, at LSC-Victory Center, Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security announced the partnership with the city of Houston on “If You See Something, Say Something,” initiative.

They want the public’s help to report any suspicious activity in order to prevent a terrorist aTtack in Houston area.

“What are we asking for is people to be vigilant but not live in fear, to be situanionally aware,” said Napolitano. “Our goal is to prevent not just to respond.”

“We want everyone to feel free to see something and say something, said Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. ”Protecting us from danger.”
