The Mac Arthur Senior High School Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter have been volunteering at Hinojosa Early Childhood Center every Wednesday.
The members include Seniors Michelle Hernandez, Erica Mullikin, Mireya Torres, Juniors Natasha Boden, and Ashly Nicasio.
They are working with Mrs. Maria Gonzales and Ms. Allison Browns afternoon pre-kindergarten class.
The activities these members participate in are reading to the students, assisting teachers with materials for class, helping the children with communication skills and interacting in the various learning centers.
These Mac Arthur students are preparing for their STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events competition which takes place on January 18th and 19th at the Houston Hyatt Regency.
