Bethel Baptist Church, 25 Tidwell, recently suffered its second arson fire in the last 2 1/2 years.
Many of the services the church provides for the community have been severely curtailed by the fires.
The most recent fire destroyed the food pantry area, all the food, and all the clothing in the clothes closet.
Donations of food and clothing, especially childrens coats and shoes, are desperately needed. Donations will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The church plans to re-open the food pantry and clothes closet in the gym on the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning January 15th. The gym is located on the back parking lot.
