Houston Police have identified the body of an elderly woman, found along the banks of Halls Bayou in the North Forest area last Thursday.
Juanita Bass, 70, had been missing after she left her home on Onslow Street, off Little York and Hirsch, and did not return. Family members including Bass nephew Alfred Hunt, said that she suffered from early stages of Alzheimers disease, and that may have contributed.
However, Bass is reported to have been carrying a bag with a large amount of cash with her, and this was not found on her body or in the immediate area. Police are investigating.
