OVER 30 VOLUNTEERS HELPED CLEAN THE AREA AROUND GREENS BAYOU.

EAST ALDINE – As part of the observance of Earth Day (April 22) the Greens Bayou Coalition and the East Aldine District co-sponsored a Greens Bayou Sprint Clean-up on Saturday, April 27.

We had over 30 volunteers for our greens bayou clean up. Groups from MacArthur, Pine Village PUD, Northbelt UD, Dignity Memorial, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and families came out to clean a stretch of the Greens Bayou. The target area was the bayou next to Kennedy Greens Business Park on JFK Boulevard.

A collection of over 20 bags of trash were collected and kept out of our bayou greenways.

Thank you to all who came out to make this happen. A special thank you to Greens Bayou Coalition, Centerpoint, HCSO and HCEC for your support.
