The Heritage Society’s 39th Annual Candlelight Tour

Don’t miss this Houston holiday tradition! Bring your family and friends to The Heritage Society’s 3rd Annual Candlelight Tour in Sam Houston Park and discover the magic of Christmas past Sam Houston Park is filled with eight of Houston’s most historic buildings which illustrate the remarkable path of Houston’s development.

As you stroll candlelit walkways while enjoying holiday carolers from throughout the Houston area, you will view arts and crafts demonstrations and living history re-enactors, Historic buildings will enchant you with depictions of traditional holiday celebrations of the past. Antique toys from some of the largest antique toy collections in the nation will be displayed in the museum gallery. The Candlelight Tour takes place on Sunday, December 2 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday, December 6th through 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Sam Houston Park located downtown at 1100 Bagby, between Lamar and Dallas.

The event is generously underwritten by Ruth M. Smith. The eight historic homes are sponsored by American Metro/Study, Cherry Companies, Coventry Homes, Performance Electric Co., Powers Brown Architecture, Myron F. Steves & Co., Trendmaker Homes and David Weekley Family. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens (ages65+) and $2 for children ages 6 to 12. Children under age 6 are free. All proceeds are used to maintain the historic structures. Tickets may be purchased either at the door or prior to the event at The Heritage Society office located at 1100 Bagby.
