Aldine I.S.D. to hold school trustee election

A School Trustee Election the Aldine I.S.D. will be held on Saturday, May 4.

Early voting began April 17 and will continue through April 30 at the Aldine Independent School District Administration Building at 14910 Aldine-Westfield. Applications for mail-in ballots should be made to: Frances Meder/Early Voting Judge, Aldine I. S.D., 14910 Aldine-Westfield Road, Houston, Texas, 77032-3099.

Requests must be received (not postmarked) by April 26, 2002.

Harris County Voter Registrar Paul Bettencourt emphasized the importance of voting by saying, “Special elections are extremely important to local communities. These elections allow voters to have more control over local issues that greatly impact city financial affairs. The Harris County Voter Registration Department will be available to answer voter’s questions or concerns regarding voter registration and the May 4 election.”

The Harris County Voter Registration Department’s phone lines will be open at 7:00 a.m. and remain open until the polls close at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The number to call for assistance is 713-368-VOTE (8683).
