Texas Folklife Festival returns to San Antonio June 6-9

The award-winning Texas Folklife Festival is back to celebrate 31 years in San Antonio June 6-9.

45 cultural groups from 60 counties in Texas will come together to offer foods from around the world, dances that will thrill you, stories that will intrigue you, and music that will make you move!

This year, the Festival will welcome two new groups, the Salvadorians who will be serving up some great food, and the Pakistani community will have a cultural booth.

Participating from Harris County will be The Sound Connection, Israeli dancers Lehakat Shalom, De Texas Klompendansers, Parea Hellas Greek Folk Dancers of Houston, Texas Bound, Chris Kilgore demonstrating rope making, Erik B. Smith’s cinnamon roasted almonds, storyteller James Ford and Emcee Kimber Jackson. The Institute is located at Bowie and Durango in downtown San Antonio.
