HOUSTON — The day that students returned to classes at Forest Brook High School an incident occurred which mirrored last summer’s vandalism which closed the school for an entire semester.
According to authorities, Houston fire fighters were summoned to Forest Brook around 4 a.m. between alarms were tripped.
Crews say that were able to walk right into the school because one of the doors was already open. Authorities say that fire fighters were able to get access to part of the building. During their investigation they found no evidence of smoke or fire. However they did notice that some of the fire hose cabinets were open.
North Forest Independent School District police officers say they checked the building and did not find anything missing or damage.
The district say that it would review surveillance tapes to see if any suspects could be identified.

The school closed last summer after vandals attacked the school, releasing water hoses which flooded a large portion of the school.
Two former Forest Brook students were arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief for the damage to the school. The two were charged with criminal mischief. One is a juvenile. The other, Demond Demouchet, is expected back in a Harris County courtroom on Jan. 14. with felony criminal mischief. The district was forced to spend about $1 million for repairs and renovations.
During the months that the school was closed Forest Brook students attended classes at Smiley High School. Jan. 3 was the first day back at their campus for Forest Brook students.
