Explorer Post 42 Open House April 26

EAST ALDINE – The youth organization for males and females interested in law enforcement known as Explorers, will hold an Open House on Wednesday, April 26th at the East Aldine Town Center from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The address is 2909 East Aldine Amphitheatre Drive, off Aldine Mail Route.

The Open House is to acquaint prospective persons with the Explorer Post and its introduction to law enforcement.

The Explorers Post 42 is headed by Deputy Terry Garza of the Harris County Sheriff’s office, and meets Wednesdays at the East Aldine headquarters.

Garza said that “Law Enforcement Exploring is for people interested in law enforcement careets, ages 14 to 21. The program is registered through the Boy Scouts of America, Learning for Life, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Explorers receive real police training, hands on and scenario based, to help determine if a career in law enforcement is right for them. The Explorers travel throughout Texas to compete against other Explorers in Law Enforcement Explorer Competitions.”

Training is held every Wednesday at the East Aldine offices.
