Aldine ISD police to help fight Catalytic Converter thefts

The upcoming “Paint the Convert” event will be held on Saturday, May 20, at Blanson CTE High School.

The Aldine ISD Police Department wants to help the community by lowering the number of thefts in the area. Painting your catalytic converter a bright color and etching the last 8 of your VIN will help prevent thieves from hurting your pockets. Donations will be accepted.

Stop the Hurt, Paint the Convert Event: Saturday, May 20, 2023 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Blanson CTE High School311 West Road- Houston, Tx, 77038

Note: The event will accept all vehicles of individuals who sign a waiver.

Officer Holliday has partnered with multiple AISD schools, with many student volunteers, to paint the catalytic converters free for citizens in the Aldine ISD area.

Holliday has hosted several “Stop the Hurt, Paint the Convert” events. Over 200 vehicles have had their converters painted and had the last eight numbers of the vehicle’s VIN etched into the catalytic converters.
