From community reports

The Town Centre steering committee met with the design consultants last month on August 18, and viewed concept sketches and models for the development of the 10 acres site on Aldine Mail Route. Originally planned to be a medium size supermarket, feasibility studies have shown that a mix of different uses in smaller buildings would offer more shopping choices and provide a people friendly environment with perimeter parking.

Features being considered for the TC3 site would include water features, landscaping with an overhead trellis to mediate the environment, multilevel buildings, and walkways connecting to other site features such as the East Aldine HQ and BakerRipley.

The design consultants emphasized that these concepts are at early stages, subject to change and to include community input and suggestions. One of the goals of the design is to create a vibrant, lively atmosphere where people would come just come to relax.
