Communities across the nation celebrated a fall favorite event in National Night Out last Tuesday. The members of the Westfield Fire Department, the pride of the northside, opened their doors to the community to make connections, educate, and have fun.
“Our members had a wonderful time meeting residents, showcasing our apparatus and equipment, and sharing insights into the vital work we do every day to keep Westfield safe,” a spokesperson said.
One of the features was the huge ladder truck that bore the nation’s colors of red, white, and blue, flying at the top.
“Events like these remind us of the strong bond between our department and the community we serve. We are grateful to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, and learn more about fire safety and emergency responses,” they said.
