The East Aldine Management District welcomed the community to its 4th annual “Light Up the Season With Us” holiday celebration on Friday, December 5, at the East Aldine Amphitheatre. The event, hosted by the EAMD, marked the official start of the holiday season with a dazzling Christmas tree lighting and a spectacular drone show.

“This festive celebration brings together families, friends, and neighbors for an evening filled with holiday cheer, live entertainment, and community spirit,” said Monica Campos, marketing manager for the East Aldine District.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of attractions, including a live Nativity scene, photos with Santa, Texas snow, a Ferris wheel, and festive music. The district’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony was a highlight, followed by an exciting holiday-themed drone show that lit up the night sky.

Campos emphasized the importance of community connection at the event.

“We’re proud to offer plenty of opportunities to connect with the community in a joyful, safe, and welcoming environment,” she said.

The celebration also featured a major holiday raffle, with prizes such as 20 bicycles, a 65” TV, a Generac generator, a laptop, a space heater, and the official Precinct 2 Commissioner Garcia’s Cowboy Hat.

“We wanted everyone to feel the holiday spirit and have a chance to take home something special,” Campos added.

Campos said the East Aldine District’s commitment to fostering community spirit was evident throughout the evening, making the holiday celebration a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
