Food drive at Stephens a success

The Stephens PTO would like to thank our community for digging into their pockets and hearts to help people in need during the holiday season. PTO president Jenny Rex reports, “We collected enough food to supply ten baskets for Thanksgiving and another ten baskets for Christmas. Whenever help is needed, our community always pulls together.”

Stephens students and families contributed hundreds of items for the food baskets. Donations were also received from the Kroger store on Aldine Mail Route and from Sunny Chin, owner of C&G Pharmacy. Mr. Chin’s generous donation included turkeys, fresh produce and baked goods. Mary Lawrence, PTO secretary, said, “This was a great opportunity for our students to learn that even the smallest contribution can make a difference when we all work together.”
