Join The Heritage Society for a Free Family Day on Sunday, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The festivities, which focus on Sharing Heritage: A Celebration of Family and Cultural History, will take place in Sam Houston Park, located at Bagby and Allen Parkway in downtown Houston.
Enjoy craft activities representative of different cultural groups; children can make paper plate maracas (a Latin American rattle), build a birch bark canoe (a Native American craft), create a dancing lion or dragon toy (to celebrate the Chinese New Year), construct a Chinese later, or assemble a memory book.
