Low-cost vaccination clinic slated for January 26

On Saturday, January 26, Harris County Rabies/Animal Control will hold a low cost rabies vaccination clinic at the Harris County Rabies/Animal Control Shelter, 612 Canino Rd (across from Melrose Park).

Clinic hours are from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and vaccinations will cost $5.00. County licenses will be available. No appointment is necessary.
Texas is currently under a rabies quarantine and all dogs and cats four months of age and older are required to be vaccinated against rabies every year and be licensed with the county.

Rabies/Animal Control requests all dogs be leashed and ALL cats be contained on leashes or in carriers.

If neither is available to the cat owner, a pillowcase or onion sack works well for short term confinement.

For your safety, your pet’s health, and your community, bring your pets to the vaccination clinic and get them their rabies shots.
