WANTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

This week’s Crime Stoppers report involves the attempted murder of a man in South Houston.

On Saturday, June 1, 2002 at approximately 10:53 p.m. the victim was at the 24 Hour Car Wash standing next to his truck. The suspect approached the victim and displayed a dark colored handgun. The suspect began cussing at the victim and ordered the victim to give him his property. The victim did not understand the suspect. The victim hesitated to follow orders due to the confusion at which time the suspect shot him and pushed him away from his truck. Although wounded the victim managed to walk to the passenger side of the vehicle at which time the suspect shot him several more times.

The suspect then stole the victim’s truck and fled the scene. The victim staggered to nearby patrons who called police. The victim is recovering from the wounds. The victim’s truck was found later burned.

SUSPECT: Hispanic male, 5’4”, dark skinned, wearing a dark blue shirt and dark blue cap
