Avalos P-Tech grads receive surprise Scholarships

The Aldine Education Foundation is grateful that 103 graduating seniors at Avalos P-TECH School experienced the surprise of a lifetime when they learned that will get to go to college for free, thanks to the generosity of the East Aldine Management District.

“We are pleased to provide every graduating senior at Avalos P-Tech School an opportunity to launch their post-secondary education,” said Patti Acosta, Position 4 Board Member. This is the first graduating class from the Aldine area high school.

All graduating seniors from Avalos PTECH High School will receive a $1,000 scholarship to attend any accredited college or university of their choice. This is the first in a series of surprises for the students – next year’s graduating class will also enjoy the same opportunity.

The East Aldine Management District was created by the Texas Legislature in June 2001 to enhance the physical, social, and economic well-being of Aldine. It is a governmental entity administered by a nine-member, volunteer board of directors.
